Mini-Grants for Hastings Public School Teachers
small grants - BIG IMPACT
Our first round of Mini-Grant Funding finished up on September 30, and we are so excited to share the details with you!
⭐️ We were able to fund 27 Mini-Grants of $250 or less.
Requests were fulfilled from all five Hastings Public Schools, Hastings, Minnesota : Kennedy Elementary, Pinecrest Elementary, McAuliffe Elementary, Hastings Middle School and Hastings High School
⭐️ Our initial goal was to grant $1500 worth of requests, but with additional initiatives at Dugarel's Bar and the assistance of three amazing community partners, we nearly quadrupled that amount with $5653 worth of requested goods purchased.
⭐️ Our 3 AMAZING Community Partners were SC Toys , Ability 2 Believe and JT's Services!

This was our first attempt, and we learned a ton, not just in how we can administer the mini-grant program going forward, but also about the diverse needs in individual classrooms! A big huge thank you to the educators that participated, those that donated, our community partners and the many people that gave us guidance for this first round! We look forward to doing more!
